One of three patron saints of Ireland, Saint Patrick was a fifth century Christian Missionary and bishop.

A beautiful prayer attributed to Saint Patrick has been set to music by several composers. \'Saint Patrick\'s Breastplate\' is known by several names: \'The Deers Cry\' and \'I Arise today\' to mention two. It celebrates a God who is with us and in us through all Creation. The following is a section of the Breastplate by Irish composer Shaun Davey (1994)ï¿½
